DOCTOR LEE KIL SUN – THE MASTER OF NON-SURGICAL SKIN REJUVENATION

Born in 1949, successfully performing over 300,000 rejuvenation cases, and being the innovator of the multi-layered collagen ultrasound machine, Dr. Lee Kil Sun is hailed as a master in the global field of skin rejuvenation.

02/1976: Lee Kil Sun graduates with honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Chosun University.

07/1976: Lee Kil Sun officially receives a medical practitioner certificate in South Korea.

1976 – 1993: Outstandingly served as a senior plastic surgeon at Chosun Hospital.

1991: Lee Kil Sun pursues and completes a Master’s degree in Medicine at Chosun University.

 

Doctor Lee Kil Sun graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Chosun University, one of the renowned and long-standing institutions in South Korea.

In 1992, Dr. Lee Kil Sun was entrusted with the position of head of the plastic surgery department at the Catholic University of Medicine (a top 3 medical university in South Korea). He held this position until 1996.

Shortly after, with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Lee Kil Sun was appointed as the Director of the Beauty Clinic Institute at the Beautiful Women Hospital.

A few years later, through a connection with Chairman Lee Book June, Dr. Lee accepted a position at the Mega Healthcare Group (specifically at the Mega Gangnam International Clinic in Vietnam).

Throughout his career, Dr. Lee Kil Sun has been an active member and co-founder of various beauty associations, notably:

• An active member of the Korean Anti-Aging Research Association.
• The first member of the Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (APSOPRS).
• Honorary Co-Chairman of the Korean Aesthetic Surgery and Laser Society  – Demire.
• Member of the Korean Body Sculpting Association.
• President of the Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Research Association – Korean Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

With over 40 years of dedicated contribution to the field of aesthetics and nearly 30 years of research and implementation of non-invasive facelift methods using threads, Dr. Lee Kil Sun has numerous patented research works. His most notable achievement is the invention of the multi-layered collagen ultrasound device. This device has elevated the global standard of thread-lifting technology, making it more precise, effective, and economical.

Following the introduction of this device, Dr. Lee Kil Sun, along with the Mega Corporation, implemented the “Young & Beautiful” thread-lifting program in over 15 Asian countries, bringing a youthful beauty to over 100,000 cases. In Vietnam alone, around 9,000 individuals were rescued from aging and looking bad through this campaign. The success of “Young & Beautiful” expanded Mega Corporation’s reputation beyond the borders of Asia. At that time, every woman between the ages of 35 and 60 worldwide knew about Dr. Lee Kil Sun and what he had accomplished with Mega Corp.

Despite being over the age of 72, Dr. Lee Kil Sun continues to travel around the world to conduct training sessions on expertise and medical ethics for the younger generation of doctors at the Mega Corporation. With dedication and seriousness towards his profession, Dr. Lee Kil Sun has been awarded “Outstanding Academic Achievement” by the Asian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery 12 times (from 2006 to 2018).

Responding to an interview about aesthetics in the era of advertising 4.0, Dr. Lee Kil Sun expresses some sadness: “Currently, there are many methods of skin rejuvenation such as super micro collagen injection, whole-cell collagen injection… being advertised very loudly. However, the accuracy of these advertisements has not been verified by any professional organization. Personally, as a doctor who has been researching skin rejuvenation for over 30 years, I affirm that collagen thread lifting is still the most effective and safest non-surgical method for wrinkle removal and facial skin tightening. Customers should wisely choose technologies that have been licensed by the Ministry of Health to avoid unnecessary risks.”
